TEXAS OIL & GAS LIEN FORMS
The Texas Property Code provides instructions concerning the filing of a lien by a contractor or subcontractor against a mineral property, to create a lien for equipment or services that are not paid for by the operator or well owner.
The Kanes Forms Texas Oil and Gas Liens Program contains forms of mineral contractor’s liens and liens that are available for use by subcontractors. As you will see from the Index, it also includes a release of lien.
The Program provides a complete statement of the provisions of Chapter 56 of the Texas Property Code which deals with oil and gas field liens and also provides answers to frequently asked questions about statutory liens and liens on mineral property. Practical suggestions concerning the filing of liens is also provided.
All of the forms in the Program are in text format and can be revised, added to, and amended in any way the user prefers.
The information in the Program and the forms are not intended to provide legal advice, but may be used by those experienced in the area, and may answer questions for those who have not previously had experience in dealing with mineral property liens.
About the Index of and Samples of forms in the program
- The forms in the Index, as listed, below, is in the same order as the forms appear in the Program. They are divided into topical Sections, with all the forms in each Section listed alphabetically.
- There are no sample forms for Acknowledgments, but Acknowledgement forms for each state listed are included in the Program.
- To view a sample of the form (the first page only), click on the title of the form. As stated, only the first page of each form is included in the sample.
